D.G.TOUR: First Week of the Online Training Successfully Completed

The first week of the online training course of the D.G.TOUR project has officially come to a successful close, marking an important milestone in this innovative European initiative funded by Erasmus+.

The training brought together educators and project partners to explore key themes that lie at the heart of D.G.TOUR: accessible tourism, artificial intelligence, and gamification as tools for educational and tourism innovation.

A Strong Start: Tourism and Accessibility

The first two sessions were dedicated to Tourism and Accessibility, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of inclusive tourism practices.

Special thanks go to ENAT for delivering insightful sessions on accessible tourism. Their expertise helped participants better understand how destinations, services, and experiences can become more inclusive for all travelers, including people with disabilities and specific access needs.

Accessible tourism is not just a niche sector—it represents a strategic and ethical direction for the future of global travel.

Exploring Artificial Intelligence and Gamification

The following sessions shifted toward a more practical and hands-on approach, focusing on:

Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Gamification strategies
Digital tools for designing engaging learning and tourism experiences

Participants explored real examples, practical exercises, and concrete tools that can be applied to develop gamified educational and tourism experiences.

A special acknowledgment goes to Mobile Idea for their valuable contribution on AI and gamification, offering practical insights into how emerging technologies can enhance both learning environments and visitor engagement.

Looking Ahead

The journey continues on February 17, when the course resumes to further deepen these two key pillars of the project: accessibility and digital innovation.
